Roots Branches Leaves is a personal record-keeping tool. All information in a tree is entered by its owner and is not verified, researched, or certified by us. Nothing in the service constitutes legal, medical, financial, or professional genealogical advice.

Health history

The health history tab is optional and self-reported. It is not a medical record and must never be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about any condition. Share it with a licensed clinician before drawing conclusions, and only record information you have the right to record.

Ownership transfer

When a death date is recorded for an account owner, the account is flagged for ownership transfer to their children. This flag is an internal administrative signal only. It does not create, replace, or execute a will, trust, beneficiary designation, or any legally binding transfer of property or digital assets. Transfers are reviewed manually and may require proof of relationship.

Media and privacy

Photos and videos you upload remain private to your account. You are responsible for having permission to upload images, videos, and personal details about living people. Legacy Plus includes 6,000 minutes of video space and Legacy Pro includes 20,000 minutes, in clips of up to 60 seconds each per account owner.

Availability

We work hard to keep your records safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or permanent retention. Keep your own backups of irreplaceable photos and videos.
